This is a rare sale of an expansive 117 ha of pristine land set in the World Heritage, Daintree Rainforest – it’s not often such a large area of land is sold in this unique enclave. This area of the wet tropics is internationally recognised as the second most valuable World Heritage area on the planet.

Located in one of the most biologically diverse rainforests in the world this site has been identified (by the WTMA) as having 285 rare or endangered plants and is also habitat to rare indigenous animals (southern cassowary, bennett’s tree kangaroos, tiger quolls, ringtail possums and ulysses butterflies – to name a few).

The land is set on an escarpment that gently slopes to rugged gorges and straddles the Alexandra Range. There are 6 occasional and permanent creeks (and 3 waterfalls) on the land, with a license for water to be taken from one of them as a water supply.

Despite being in one of the most pristine enclaves in the world stretching back to Gondwana in the Jurassic era it is not far from modern amenities, being only 1hr 45 mins to Cairns International Airport, 30 minutes to the nearest regional town of Mossman and 45 minutes to the boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars of Port Douglas and iconic Four Mile Beach.

For visitors the land is located just a few minutes drive from the Daintree Ferry, so is ideally placed for visitors and access.

The property comes with current DA approval for a prefabricated road bridge (there is currently an existing footbridge) and a two storey commercial/residential zoned building (initially intended as a research station). There is on the property a shed structure and also 2 shipping containers.

The proposed building comprises 2 bathrooms, laundry, bedroom, living/dining area and ground floor parking area with water tank concrete footings.
